Special Educational Needs and Disability

From September 2014, all schools are expected to publish information about their provision for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This includes the 'Local Offer', which helps parents/carers understand what services they and their families can expect from a range of local agencies
How to speak to the SENCO if you have a concern.
- We always encourage you to talk to your child’s class teacher in the first instance.
- Speak to a member of the office team to find out when the SENCO may be available.
- Make an appointment to see Mrs Mitchell or ask if she can telephone you.
- You can also email Mrs Mitchell on sendparents@coppice.bham.sch.uk. Please note that Mrs Mitchell teaches in Year 2 on a Thursday and Friday. Any emails sent during this time will not be responded to until the following week.
- We hold regular review meetings with parents during the school day so that you can find out how your child is doing in school.
