This is the place to be to find key information for all things Year 5!


P.E. 

 

Outdoor P.E. is on a Monday and Indoor P.E. is on a Wednesday. Children should come to school in their P.E. kits on these days.

Homework


All homework will be given out on a Friday and should be returned by Wednesday. 

Reading - Children should spend at least 10 minutes per day reading their books. This can be a book chosen from a selection at school, the school library or one that they have at home. Children will record the books that they have been reading in their journals - please sign the reading diary once a week. 

Spellings - Children will bring home up to 6 spellings a week to consolidate learning that they have done in class. Please see the separate information below about the No Nonsense Spelling scheme.

Maths - Children will bring home a worksheet that will consolidate learning they have done in class. This will be marked in class before new homework is sent out. It is very important that children play on Times Tables Rock Stars frequently - please ensure your child has their login at home.
